To many people much of life consists of situations and circumstances that leave them feeling empty. Many of these things are the results of choices we make while some we have no control of. One thing is for certain, far too many people find life disappointing.
Being raised in the south, my life was influenced by the religious culture. I went to church periodically, was baptized, and “confessed the Lord as my personal savior”. After graduating from high school I joined the military, and did all the things that the world called fun. I still considered myself a Christian, but I remember many times asking myself the question “is there more to life than this?” There was something missing in my life.
Then something happened that changed my life forever. I began to read the Bible. I learned that Jesus came to this earth and died on a cross so that I could live an abundant life. One night I went to a church service where the people really seemed to enjoy being there. They smiled, sang exuberant worship songs, and the preacher preached like he believed what he was saying. I realized these people had something that I did not have. Several nights later at the end of the service I repented of my sins, God filled me with His Spirit, and I was baptized in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.
In October of 2007 my family and I moved to Frankfort, IN and became pastor of Zion Apostolic Tabernacle. God has given us some promises concerning His church and we are excited to see what He has for the future. We do not believe that church membership equates to salvation but being a part of the church helps us in fulfilling what God desires in our lives. If your desire is to come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, then I would encourage you to come be a part of Zion Apostolic Tabernacle.
